Darwin “Choppa”
Turner is by no means a rookie in the music business. The twenty-five year old rapper had his breakout hit “Choppa Style”
in 2001 which catapulted him to the top ranks of the urban music world.
Hailing from the West
Bank area of New Orleans, everything about him embodies the N.O. spirit.
Known for his distinct voice and bounce-style music, Choppa is certain to keep the club-goers moving. He began rapping as
a mere hobby, but after his athletic aspirations took a turn he began sharpening his lyrical skills full-time. After making
regular appearances on “Nine O’Clock Props,” a segment of New Orleans
based Q93’s radio personality Wild Wayne’s show, he became one of the city’s most popular underground rappers.
Word of the rapper’s
talent eventually made way to one of rap’s biggest entrepreneurs which, in turn, led to his first major deal. Armed
with all of the essentials, and a broad appeal, Choppa is more than ready to reclaim his place in rap music.
